5 Videos Every Shopify or Amazon Ecommerce Business Needs

Trying to grow your ecommerce business and increase your sales volume?

Make sure you’re sharing these 5 types of videos when marketing your product to help you increase your revenue and grow your business.

I recommend using every one of these types of videos in your Facebook ads, email blasts, Messenger broadcasts and sequences, blogs, on product pages...everywhere that you can!

1. Social Proof Videos

Video testimonials are super important when trying to build massive trust and credibility with your audience.

Remember that people don’t like to spend money on things that don’t work, and they like to do what other people are doing. So the more you introduce real life testimonials and social proof to your audience to warm them up, the easier it will be to pitch them later on. Testimonials and reviews from real customers will also prove you’re credible.

Reach out to customers who have commented positively on your content and ask them for a review. Gather feedback from customers who have left reviews on your website and Amazon. Ask happy customers if you can schedule a zoom call to learn more about their experience and then get their permission to share it on social media and online.

2. Demonstration Videos

What’s great about “Blogdeos” or blog-style videos is that they’re not meant to be sales-y which means consumers will feel more comfortable leaning in.

Blog-style videos are especially great for running as Facebook ads targeting cold traffic—when you wouldn’t want to hard sell to your audience just yet.

New audiences need an introduction first, and they’ll be more willing to engage with you and your content when they’re not trying to be sold to.

3. Unboxing Videos

Talk about getting real. Unboxing videos are the perfect way to show everyone what your product will truly look like from the moment they get the package in the mail. This style of video also does a great job at getting your audience to start feeling the way they will when they finally receive your product.

Make sure in your unboxing videos that you show what accessories come with the product, the size of the product and accessories, talk about the quality, the ease and quickness from ordering to receiving the product, and include a quick demonstration if there’s a lot to set up.

4. Blog-Style Videos

In your blogdeos, make sure to really highlight all the benefits that your product brings to consumers and how it solves their problems. This will build trust and credibility.

Also, explain what types of people are most likely to benefit from your product. Doing this will grab the attention of those ideal customers who are watching and will quickly push away those who would never consider buying what it is you’re selling.

Always be informative and helpful instead of promotional. Tell your audience something they don’t already know that gives them incredible value, for free.

5. Sales-Style Videos

Sales-style videos are most appropriate for those audiences that are deeper in the funnel—people who have already seen a couple of your videos and some of your other content. Trust, credibility, and familiarity should already present.

A sales video usually includes a heavier sell and more obvious pitch. Because they’ve consumed some of your content, your offer should resonate with them more because they have already seen the value your product offers.

Always make sure to price anchor. Introduce your product at the higher price at first, and then discount it later on as a special offer.

In your sales-style videos, incorporate social proof, unboxing, and product demonstrations all in one. Doing so will help tie it all together for your audience and remind them of the high value of your product. Then when you offer them a nice discount, they’ll be much more likely to take you up on it!

Creating and distributing these 5 types of videos regularly to promote your product(s) will significantly help you increase your sales online. If you want to talk and learn more about video content, click here to set up a call with us.
